MECCA is pleased to offer a variety of private and group lesson plans. Lesson packages offer a savings over individual lesson purchases and specialty lessons are offered at a variety of times throughout the year. Some of these specialties include trail, halter presentation, bareback equitation, quadrille, and vaulting!

Lessons can always be tailored to an individual student's interests and/or needs. Some of the basic lessons we offer include:

FROM THE GROUND UP: These lessons are tailored for those of you who would like to really understand horses. It does not involve any riding at first and is actually a great place to start for those of you who have been out of the horse world for quite some time. We also recommend you take at least one ground lesson before you ride if you have little or no experience with our equine friends. These ground lessons empower you to feel more comfortable riding as it teaches you the language of the horse and how to handle them on the ground. All of the ground work is transfered to riding.

Beginner: Lessons for riders with little or no experience will learn horsemanship basics, which includes haltering and leading, bridling and saddling, grooming, restraints, safety, as well as the basics of walking and trotting! ALL students are required to have safety helmets while on a horse!! NO EXCEPTIONS!!!

Intermediate: Geared for riders with more then beginning skills, students will be expected to catch, groom, bridle and saddle their lesson horse prior to the start of their lesson. Walk, trot, and canter skills will be refined and reinforced. Some extra skills will be taught at that time.

Advanced: For riders with skills beyond the intermediate rider, these students will be taught and prepped for competition, showing, and more advanced forms of horse training and communication. Just as with the other levels, helmets are required, and some sports may require safety vests!

TEENAGE TERRORS! GROUP LESSONS!:This group lesson is designed with the teenager in mind! We offer many different classes that are centered around fun and learning. We offer these classes in English, Dressage, Lower level jumping, horsemanship, schooling show prep, trail safety and plain old pleasure riding. These classes are very popular so reserve your spot today! Ages 12-18. You must be able to walk and trot in a controlled manner. HAUL INS WELCOME!

INTRO TO DRESSAGE: This 4 week class is designed to introduce all riders to the wonderful world of dressage. Dressage is for anyone and any horse! Dressage instruction can add to any discipline and prove useful and enlightening to all. Advanced classes available as well. HAUL INS WELCOME!

Semi Private and Groups:
$40

Practice Rides: $35

Lesson packages must be used with in 6 weeks of purchasing. Your time slot is reserved for you. Cancellations must be made with in 24 hours and must be made up with in one week or you will be charged for your lesson. There are no make up lessons for semi-private and group lessons.(some exceptions may be made) If you purchased a package, lessons must be made up with in the package period or you will be charged for your lesson. If Mecca Equestrian Center needs to cancel your lesson for any reason and a rescheduled time slot is not available, you will not be charged for your lesson.
